From 2015 to 2019, one of the most popular television shows in Ukraine was Servant of the People, a sitcom about a public school teacher whose students secretly videotape him ranting about the corrupt elites.... The kids post it on YouTube, where it becomes so popular that he's elected president. In 2018, the star of Servant of the People formed a party called Servant of the People and ran for president.... On April 21, 2019, he won the presidency with more than 73 percent of the vote.
